ADYC is fortunate to have staff that are deeply dedicated to our mission. Full-time team members have an average of over 9 years of experience in homeless services that they bring to the workplace or the streets everyday.

Sheri Riemers (Nindaanisequay)

Executive Director

Sheri has over 34 years of experience in program development, management and community outreach involving social services and culture revitalization in community-based services creating innovative, nationally recognized models within the American Indian community. She is a dedicated member of numerous boards and advisories that advocate and foster change to positively impact American Indian youth and families affected by historical trauma. Her years of dedication, visionary leadership, executive oversight, and experience allow her to navigate complex systems and advocate system change that impact our community today.

Amy Arndt (Memingwakwe)
White Earth Nation
Youth and Family Services Director

Amy has 20 years of experience working with and on behalf of our relatives in the tribal and urban native communities. She has codeveloped and facilitated an Indigenous Group Prenatal Care curriculum for Hennepin Health and has been a Location Producer for the documentary Native Silence with 3generations Production company out of New York City. Amy has been the Program Manager as well as the Director of Family Services at the Minnesota Indian Women’s Resource Center for the past 11+ years before joining the Ain Dah Yung team as the new Youth and Family Services Director in August.

Amy’s heart and purpose is dedicated to her family, community, healing and living her traditional values.

Sharla Burth
Clinical Health and Wellness Director

Sharla has been with ADYC since 2014. She started her ADYC journey as a Children’s Mental Health Case Manager and held that role for 5 years. When Mino Oski Ain Dah Yung Center opened in 2019, Sharla became the Youth and Family Therapist at the new building. In 2022 she was promoted to the Clinical Health and Wellness manager, providing mental health services at MOADY and overseeing the Children’s Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Programs. In the same year, she became Licensed as a Marriage and Family therapist. Sharla enjoys working from a culturally sensitive trauma informed lens with at risk youth providing hope and healing.

Angie Deegan
Development Director

Angie has a 30+ year history of nonprofit work as both volunteer and staff. Careers in membership and volunteer management for Girl Scouts River Valleys followed by development and executive leadership roles within March of Dimes provides a foundation rich in diversity and inclusion benefitting children and families. Her career provides the opportunity to develop an understanding of the philanthropic community of Minnesota. Her role as Development Director at ADYC focuses on donor development and stewardship, community engagement, individual and corporate relationships, and overseeing grant management. Angie holds a BS, Organizational Management & Leadership from Concordia University, St. Paul, and a Mini MBA from University of St. Thomas.

Maricella Pacheco

Housing & Stabilization Services Director

Cella Pacheco has served at ADYC since 2020. She is responsible for supervision of staff of our Emergency Shelter. Cella has over four years of crisis intervention experience with youth experiencing homelessness and is committed to embracing positive youth development, trauma informed care and harm reduction. Cella was promoted to Emergency Shelter Manager in 2021 and promoted to Housing & Stabilization Services Director in 2022.

Susan Summers

Susan Summers has over two decades worth of experience working at ADYC in various capacities, including Van Driver, Night Staff, Clinical Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, Development Assistant, Facilities Coordinator and her current role as Facilities & IT Director.

Celina Jubera
Red Lake Band of Ojibwe
Youth Lodge and Street Outreach Program Manager

Celina Jubera has worked with ADYC since 2017 supervising staff in our Youth Lodge and Street Outreach programs. She brings a decade of experience in programming for Indigenous youth, including her work co-creating the first Indigenous programming for Youthprise and serving as Academic Enrichment Coordinator for Little Earth of United Tribes. Celina holds certificates from the Native Wellness Institute for Healthy Relationships and Traditional Leadership.

Jill Ross
Operations Director

Since 2015, Jill Ross has worked in administrative roles at ADYC including Administrative Assistant, Executive Assistant, Communications Director, and Administrative Services Director, before taking on her current role as Operations Director. She brings over twenty years of experience in non-profit administration. She holds a BS in Business and Marketing from Winona State University.

Tierre Thompson
Housing and Stabilization Manager

For more than 20 years, Tierre Thompson has dedicated his time to the well-being of individuals facing mental health challenges and young people in need of support. Tierre has been part of the ADYC family for 15 years. During his time at ADYC, Tierre has taken on various roles within the Ain Dah Yung Shelter, Beverley A Benjamin Youth Lodge, and currently at Mino Oski Ain Dah Yung, showing incredible dedication and heart. These roles include Lead Day Staff, Case Manager, Transition Coach, and, in February 2023, recognized for his exceptional commitment and promoted to the role of Housing & Stabilization Services Manager.

Tyler Bouwens
Youth and Family Services Program Manager

Tyler Bouwens has 15 years of experience working in social services after receiving a BS in Counseling and Psychology at the University of Northwestern in Minnesota. He began working with Ain Dah Yung Center in 2019 as a Family Advocate; coming alongside and standing with fellow parents and caregivers. Working as an ally to the community to advance Ain Dah Yung’s mission guides his work, especially within the new role of Youth and Family Services Program Manager beginning in 2024. Tyler and his wife have 3 children, a dog, a cat, and live on the East Side of St. Paul. When he isn’t working he enjoys gardening, being in nature, and biking.
